Cool story, bro. But we find the Vampire Mercy Brown unbelievable. Although, that chicken McNugget theory... 🤔 What did you think? Supernatural elements at play or just a terrible illness?

Welcome to another episode of Believing the Bizarre! This week, we tackle the subject of Mercy Brown, which is considered to be one of the earliest vampire stories in the United States of America. While the events of the Brown family are tragic, do you believe there were supernatural events at play? Or did guilt and despair (along with frigid weather conditions) push George Brown’s sanity to the edge? ⚰️ Click the link in our bio to listen to find out! (By the way, what Tyler was trying to say near the beginning is Epistolary, which is when a novel is written in a letter format 📖) . . . #vampire #vampirestyle #vampirestories #vampirecostume #vampiregirl #vampireart #vampiress #mercybrown #vampiremercybrown #mercybrownvampire #realvampires #spookyszn #truestory👊 #paranormalstories #halloween2020 #believingthebizarre

On September 12th, 1952, a group of kids playing football witnessed a red-pulsing light/ space craft fly across the sky and land on a nearby farm hill top. 🚀 Scared and anxious, the boys ran to Kathleen May’s house to explain what they saw. While she didn’t quite believe them, Kathleen took the boys - Eddie, Freddie, Neil, Tommy, Ronnie, and National Guard member Gene Lemon - to investigate. As they got closer to area where the boys saw the spacecraft land, a thick and engulfing fog rolled toward them, irritating their eyes and nostrils along with a pungent sulfur-like odor. Up ahead, they saw a pair of eyes glowing about 10 feet off the ground. Lemon shined his flashlight and they witnessed what they described as a 10 foot tall monster with a blood red face and a thick, 4 foot wide glowing green body. 👽 It had a large head that resembled an ace of spades. The monster let out a long shriek and began floating toward the group. It didn’t have discernible feet, it was about a foot and a half off the ground as it glided toward them. They turned around to sprint back to Kathleen’s home, and as they did, the Flatwoods Monster spit a gooey substance at them, getting on their clothes. That night, multiple members of the group suffered illness, such as convulsions, vomiting attacks, and swollen throats. To listen to the episode click the link in our bio 🛸

The Flatwoods Monster | Ep. 21

We return to West Virginia for this legend, but instead of Mothman, we are discussing the Flatwoods Monster. In September of 1952, a group of boys playing football witnessed a pulsing red light fly across the sky and land on a nearby hill. They ran home to tell their mother what they had seen. Naturally, she was in disbelief, so altogether they went back to the scene of the strange object in the sky. What they witnessed next was something terrifying that they'd never forget.
