It is Bizarre News and Blind Rankings time again! **Trigger Warning: Child Abuse** This month on Bizarre News, we cover: Story 1 - A photograph taken over 50 years ago in Costa Rica, dubbed "the most convincing UFO photo ever," has resurfaced, showing a metallic disc floating above Lake Cote. The image, captured by aerial photographer Sergio Loaiza during a land survey mission, has puzzled experts for decades and remains unexplained despite close analysis from UFO skeptics. Story 2 - Two women in Newton, North Carolina, face felony child abuse charges after two toddlers in their care suffered severe injuries, including burns, bite marks, broken bones, and tested positive for fentanyl. The accused, Emily Marie Edwards and her mother Sherrie Jean Edwards, bizarrely claimed that evil spirits and nightmares were responsible for the children's injuries, citing their use of an Ouija board. Story 3 - A viral video from Chile appears to show a dog transforming into a human, sparking debates about whether it's a mythical "nagual" or simply a camera trick. Story 4 - Ring, the home security company, has launched a "Great Ghost Search" contest offering a $100,000 prize for the most compelling paranormal activity captured on a Ring device. Open to U.S. residents 18 and older, the competition invites users to submit footage of ghostly phenomena, with entries judged by a panel including "Stranger Things" star Finn Wolfhard and paranormal investigator Katrina Weidman. Story 5 - Researchers from Monash University propose that Earth may have had a rocky ring around 466 million years ago, lasting for tens of millions of years. This theory is based on the unusual concentration of impact craters near the equator during the Ordovician period, and could explain other phenomena like a subsequent ice age and the characteristics of meteorite debris found in these craters.

In this episode, we explore chilling encounters with potential doppelgangers, violent spirits, haunted apartments, and the mysterious Lickford Bridge! The Lickford Bridge is known to be haunted by the Lickford man, a violent man who would torture and kill slaves and killed his own family and buried them under his porch. They say (you getting the urban legend vibes here?) that if you stop your car on the bridge at night, you'll see red fireflies signaling the Lickford Man is approaching. Meanwhile, handprints of the slaves will appear on your car and try pushing you off the bridge to safety and away from the man. Listen now!

So my Dad lived in China for a long time when I was a kid and he loved the food and the culture. A lot of that respect rubbed off on me. These are few dishes from my favorite authentic Chinese restaurant in Cleveland. I still love going there. I’ve been going there since I was a kid with my dad. It has a lot of meaning to me. I won’t drop the name because I’m gate keeping hardcore. Thanks to @mnd_allegedly for accompanying me.

This month we were lucky enough to interview @monsterologist_ who is an incredibly talented artist. Fun fact: at a festival a few years ago, I (Tyler) was walking around Kent, Ohio and saw George’s a Monsterologist‘s tent. I immediately had to buy a few stickers and now we have 5 of his cryptid travel prints up in our studio. In this interview, we talk about his work, why he was drawn to the paranormal, his creative process, and how he became monsterologist. If you’re a creative individual, we think this interview in particular may be very inspiring for you. We hope you enjoy! 🛸

George Coghill | Monsterologist - Interview

It is interview time again and we are super excited to talk with the artist George Coghill, also known as Monsterologist. Fun fact : I (Tyler) currently have 3 Monsterologist stickers on my car and we have 5 of his cryptid travel posters up in our podcast studio. We are HUGE fans of his work and have been for a few years now. In this interview, George Coghill, the creative force behind Monsterologist, shares his journey from freelance artist to cryptid art entrepreneur, driven by a desire to create the cool monster artwork his 8-year-old self always wanted. His unique approach combines childhood fascination with paranormal phenomena, a commitment to authenticity, and a business model that prioritizes passion over profit. Coghill's story is a testament to the power of perseverance, as he turned a simple Bigfoot patch design into a thriving business that resonates with fellow enthusiasts at paranormal conventions across the country. Throughout the interview, he offers valuable in...

For our viewing materials: The second image is the Lubbock lights, a strange and unexplainable light pattern seen over the sky. The third image shows the effects of the radiation and exposure to the UFO that Betty Cash felt. The fourth image is a representation of what the diamond UFO with the black helicopters looked like.

Texas UFO Encounters This week, we head to Texas to discuss some popular Lone Star State UFO Encounters. From the enigmatic Lubbock Lights of 1951 to the perplexing Stephenville incident of 2008, we examine reports of massive, silent crafts and unexplained aerial phenomena that have baffled witnesses and investigators alike. In the Levelland UFO case, multiple vehicles mysteriously stalled in the presence of an unidentified object.  Perhaps most disturbing is the account of Betty Cash and Vicki Landrum, whose close encounter left them with severe, long-lasting health issues attributed to radiation exposure. The Grafton Monster

Image
via IFTTT

On a fateful night in June 1964, Robert Cockrell's drive home through Grafton, West Virginia, took an unexpected turn when he encountered a massive, headless creature with smooth, rubbery skin. This bizarre sighting sparked a town-wide frenzy, with armed locals combing the woods in search of what became known as the Grafton Monster. Multiple witnesses described an 8-10 foot tall entity with broad shoulders and a seemingly non-existent head, lending credence to Cockrell's account and fueling the growing hysteria. As the monster-hunting craze reached fever pitch, UFO researcher Gray Barker linked the creature to extraterrestrial phenomena, adding another layer of mystery to the tale. Additionally (as promised), we included the video acquired on Mountain Monsters of the supposed Grafton Monster encounter. All credit to the video goes to them!
