October 11th, 1973, Mississippi Two men, Charlie Hickson,42, and Calvin Parker, 19, went fishing on the Pascagoula River to celebrate Calvin getting a job at the shipyard where Charlie worked. Charlie was an avid fisher and was focused on fishing while Calvin was happy to be hanging out with a friend and relaxing. Perhaps that’s why he noticed a blue light out of the corner of his eye. At first, he thought it was the police. Perhaps he had parked illegally. Not a great way to begin his time in Pascagoula. But then….he turned around and the blue flights were behind them, and soon began circling them. The two men began to hear a zipping sound as well and before they knew it the blue lights were hovering over the river right in front of them. It was like two heavy spotlights coming out of a large metallic object. To hear more about what they experienced checkout this week’s episode. #believingthebizarre #alienabduction #aliens

On October 7th in 1849, Edgar Allan Poe died under mysterious circumstances. The week before he passed away Poe left Virginia on his way to Philadelphia to help another writer with editing. On the way, he vanished. A week later he was found in a disastrous state in the gutter of a street in Baltimore in clothes that weren’t his. He was weak and extremely out of sorts and was rushed to the hospital. A few days later, in a delirious state, Poe died. He was buried in the corner of a graveyard in an unmarked grave. Such a tragic end for one who wrote deeply of the macabre. But his death has been surrounded by mystery. What happened that week he was gone? Where did he go? Why was he wearing someone else’s clothes? What caused his delirious state before his death? There are several theories about what happened to Poe. Check out this week's episode to hear what may have caused the passing of one of America's Gothic Icons. #edgarallenpoe #believingthebizarre #nevermorepoe

The legend of Kuchisake-onna, also known as the slit-mouth lady, is a sad and tragic one. Suffering a gruesome fate at the hands of her samurai husband she still haunts the streets of Japan to this day, and if you answer her question wrong you'll meet a fate that matches that of the split-mouth lady. Check out this personal encounter that one unlucky soul had with Kuchisake-onna. My mom came face to face with Kuchisake-onna. She had been walking back from the store and was on her way home. She had stopped to look for her phone in her purse and when she looked up, she saw a woman standing right in front of her. She had long black hair and a deep red surgical mask on and a trench coat. Her hands were stuffed into her pockets, but my mom knew who she was looking at and she knew how to get away. "Do you think I'm pretty?" she asked my mom. To see whether his mom was able to get away from the split-mouth lady check out episode 57 Aka Manto and Kuchisake-onna. #urbanlegend #urbanlegends #kuchisakeonna #slitmouthwoman #truestory💯 #paranormalencounters #paranormalstories #japaneseculture #japanesehorror
