October 11th, 1973, Mississippi Two men, Charlie Hickson,42, and Calvin Parker, 19, went fishing on the Pascagoula River to celebrate Calvin getting a job at the shipyard where Charlie worked. Charlie was an avid fisher and was focused on fishing while Calvin was happy to be hanging out with a friend and relaxing. Perhaps that’s why he noticed a blue light out of the corner of his eye. At first, he thought it was the police. Perhaps he had parked illegally. Not a great way to begin his time in Pascagoula. But then….he turned around and the blue flights were behind them, and soon began circling them. The two men began to hear a zipping sound as well and before they knew it the blue lights were hovering over the river right in front of them.
