On September 12th, 1952, a group of kids playing football witnessed a red-pulsing light/ space craft fly across the sky and land on a nearby farm hill top. 🚀 Scared and anxious, the boys ran to Kathleen May’s house to explain what they saw. While she didn’t quite believe them, Kathleen took the boys - Eddie, Freddie, Neil, Tommy, Ronnie, and National Guard member Gene Lemon - to investigate. As they got closer to area where the boys saw the spacecraft land, a thick and engulfing fog rolled toward them, irritating their eyes and nostrils along with a pungent sulfur-like odor. Up ahead, they saw a pair of eyes glowing about 10 feet off the ground. Lemon shined his flashlight and they witnessed what they described as a 10 foot tall monster with a blood red face and a thick, 4 foot wide glowing green body. 👽 It had a large head that resembled an ace of spades. The monster let out a long shriek and began floating toward the group. It didn’t have discernible feet, it was about a foot and a half off the ground as it glided toward them. They turned around to sprint back to Kathleen’s home, and as they did, the Flatwoods Monster spit a gooey substance at them, getting on their clothes.
