What is lurking deep in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains? Legend says there is a tall, pale, woman with long messy black hair, a bony frame, claws for hands, and a ferocious appetite for flesh.

This ravenous creature is Penelope – the Sierra Nevada Monster. Urban legend says she was a distraught woman, lost in a blizzard, that came in contact with toxic sludge which transformed her into this vicious entity.
